Another kind of Light is destructive light.
We have all heard the expression, “light a fire under someone.” Fire is destructive light. But its destructive potential has a positive effect, if you allow it.
Months ago, we saw the sheer horror of unabated wildfires in California and Montana. And the fire fighters engaged in the efforts to save lives even admitted, there was nothing that could stop the blazing inferno.
Inside of you, a fire is either nourished into an inferno or it is smothered by fear, and dies stillborn.
When utilized, the fire within can burn away your excuses, it can drive you out from a bad situation. Or, you can do nothing and let it burn you to death.
No one can manipulate the flame inside you – it’s up to you whether you cultivate it for explosive affect, or mismanage it, or let it dwindle and extinguish.
Destructive light – this fire – is fueled by oxygen.
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)
Breath is necessary for life. Furthermore, how well you perform – be it in sports or fitness, academic and intellectual pursuits, or any activity performed by any living person – is determined by your breath, or your ability to breathe.
Since oxygen is crucial for our cultivation of destructive light, I will expound upon breath in the coming days.
